You may remember that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) purchased PARTNERS National Health Plans of North Carolina, Inc. (PARTNERS) in 2001. Recently, PARTNERS was granted permission to be a licensed affiliate of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. With this designation, we can now brand our products with the nationally recognized Blue Cross and Blue Shield symbols and state our status as a subsidiary of BCBSNC.
Effective January 1, 2008, the PARTNERS Medicare Choice and PARTNERS Medicare Options product names are changing. PARTNERS Medicare Choice and Medicare Options have new product names: Blue Medicare HMO and Blue Medicare PPO. They are the same great products with the same excellent customer service! Both plans are offered by PARTNERS National Health Plans of North Carolina, Inc.™, the first Medicare Advantage organization in North Carolina.
In addition, the information about these products has been moved to www.bcbsnc.com/medicare, along with information about other health care products available to Medicare beneficiaries. Please be aware that the links below will route you to the corresponding section on the www.bcbsnc.com Web site.

Blue Medicare HMO and Blue Medicare PPO plans are offered by PARTNERS National Health Plans of North Carolina, Inc., a subsidiary of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC).
